Fast Start

2024 started as a fast book year. Seven complete - three books and four audio-books. Here’s a quick summary:

Daisy Darker by Alice Feeney - Good for a who-done-it and picked up at the end. Gave it a 6.

My Husband by Maud Ventura - I read a great review of this book. After finishing the book I don’t know what the reviewer was talking about. I think we read different books. The best part about this book was that it was relatively short. 5.

Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-time by Mark Haddon. Interesting and not really about a dog. Or the night. 7.

read a dud and not going to give it a mention at all.

Drawing Of The Three by Stephen King. I listened to this one. The story was unexpectedly interesting and the audio narrator was great. This is the second book of the Dark Tower series. Rated 8 for content and audio.

I’m Glad My Mom Died by Janette McCurdy. I read this because it was popular for a while last year. It was interesting-ish but if you read one ‘person has problems because they were a child star’ you’ve kind of read them all. 5, because it didn’t cover much new ground.

Mary by Nat Cassidy. 7 but parts of this scored higher. This was mainly a ghost story, but it was pretty original and had a very interesting main character and pace. I recommend this one if you like dark ghost stories.
